MMI raises $125M Series D to expand robotic microsurgery worldwide

MMI has raised $125M in Series D funding, led by existing investor BioStar Capital, to accelerate global commercialization of its Symani® Surgical System. The funding will support U.S. and international expansion, broader patient access, and clinical studies to build evidence for additional applications of robotic microsurgery.

CEO Mark Toland: “This investment gives us the ability to expand our reach, accelerate adoption and continue advancing the platform through innovation in areas like energy instruments and digital surgery capabilities.”

Zenflow raises $52M Series D to commercialize BPH treatment

Zenflow has secured $52M in oversubscribed Series D financing, led by Cook Medical, with participation from new and existing investors and additional venture debt from HSBC and Trinity Capital. The funding will support the U.S. commercial launch of its FDA-approved Zenflow Spring® System for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Zenflow also signed an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with Cook Medical to expand access to the treatment.

OXOS Medical secures up to $24.4M BARDA contract for portable X-ray system

OXOS Medical has secured a cost-share contract worth up to $24.4M from BARDA, with the company matching the funding for a potential total project value of $48.8M. The funding will support development, validation and regulatory preparation of its OXOS X3 ultra-portable X-ray system, designed for point-of-care imaging and emergency triage.

Mailian Medical raises $13.8M Series B to advance BCI rehabilitation

Chinese startup Mailian Medical has raised $13.8M in Series B funding, jointly backed by Chuangda Industrial Holdings and Jinshajiang United Capital. The funding will advance its non-invasive brain-computer interface technology, including AI-enabled sleep and cognition tools and rehabilitation systems for stroke-related swallowing disorders, with plans to extend use beyond hospitals into community and home settings.

Archeon Medical raises €7.5M Series A to advance ventilation monitoring

French medtech company Archeon Medical has raised €7.5M ($9M) in Series A funding, led by Newfund through its HEKA fund, with participation from four additional investors. The funding will support U.S. clinical validation and commercialization of its EOlife® device, which provides real-time feedback on ventilation volume during resuscitation to help prevent under- and over-ventilation in cardiac arrest patients.

Sunfox Technologies raises $7M Series A to scale portable ECG platform

Indian medtech company Sunfox Technologies has raised $7M in Series A funding, led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital and 3one4 Capital. The funding will support expansion across India, global commercialization and R&D for its Spandan portable ECG platform, which enables frontline healthcare workers to record ECGs and share them with remote doctors for interpretation.

MintNeuro raises $5M to scale chips for neural devices and BCIs

UK-based MintNeuro has raised $5M in funding, led by Odyssey Ventures, with participation from 33East, JSK Investments, Alumni Ventures and returning investors. The funding will support product launches, engineering and commercial team growth, and international expansion of its purpose-built semiconductor platform for neural implants, brain-computer interfaces and other neurotechnology devices, helping developers reduce power consumption, costs and time to market.

Phantom GI raises $5M seed to develop minimally invasive ostomy alternative

Phantom GI has raised $5M in seed funding to develop PercStoma, a needle-based procedure designed as a less invasive alternative to traditional ostomy surgery. The company aims to reduce the procedure to around 20 minutes, potentially shortening recovery and enabling treatment outside a major surgical setting.

PurpleAI raises KRW 3.3B Series A to expand stroke imaging AI

South Korean medtech company PurpleAI has closed a KRW 3.3B ($2.2M) Series A, led by returning investor Murex Partners, with participation from Taurus Partners and Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT), bringing total funding to KRW 5.8B. The company’s AI is already contracted at more than 65 general hospitals in South Korea, while its FDA-cleared intracranial hemorrhage solution has completed a U.S. validation study. The funding will support clinical studies and U.S. regulatory submissions for its ischemic stroke and cerebral aneurysm AI, alongside international expansion.
