Zhongke Ion raises nearly RMB 600M to advance proton therapy technology
Chinese MedTech company Zhongke Ion has completed its first market-oriented equity financing, raising nearly RMB 600M ($89M) from investors including CMB International. The funding will support core technology R&D and market expansion, as the company scales its superconducting cyclotron proton radiotherapy system, which is already in clinical use.

Inovus Medical extends funding to $20M to scale surgical training platform
UK-based Inovus Medical has extended its total funding to $20M, with a $9.3M funding extension backed by PXN Ventures, Unorthodox Ventures, Mercia Ventures and the Liverpool City Region Life Science Innovation Zone. The funding will support U.S. and international expansion, team growth and development of its surgical training technology across specialties including flexible endoscopy and robotic surgery.

SedMed raises $4M to expand non-electric mobility solutions
SedMed has raised $4M in funding, led by 108 BioCapital, to accelerate commercial expansion of its non-electric mobility solutions. The funding will support distribution partnerships, IP development and additional hospital-based studies for its flagship SedMed Toilet Lift, which provides sit-to-stand assistance without electricity or bathroom remodeling.

RheoCarti secures CHF 150K from Venture Kick to advance joint implants
Swiss medtech startup RheoCarti has secured CHF 150K ($180K) from Venture Kick to advance its titanium-hydrogel resurfacing implants designed to mimic the low friction and shock absorption of natural cartilage. The funding will support manufacturing and quality readiness, team growth and market development, ahead of initial veterinary clinical applications.

CC Cardio secures €160K grant to advance single-ventricle pump
Swiss medtech startup CC Cardio has secured a €160K ($179K) grant from the Tech Europe Foundation to further develop its single-ventricle pump. The non-dilutive funding will support development of the device for patients with single-ventricle heart conditions.

KMM Group receives investment from RS2 Healthcare Partners, appoints new CEO
KMM Group has received an investment from RS2 Healthcare Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm, to support the next phase of growth for its precision contract manufacturing business serving the medical device industry. DXcrete secures funding to advance wearable kidney monitoring
Dutch medtech startup DXcrete has secured funding from the Brabant Startup Fonds to advance its BEA wearable patch, which measures creatinine in sweat to monitor kidney function without needles or lab visits. The funding will support further platform development, clinical and market partnerships, and team expansion in Brainport Eindhoven.

Hisigide completes new financing to advance ophthalmic devices and visual reconstruction
Chinese ophthalmic medtech company Hisigide has completed a new financing round led by Huaxing Kangping. The funding will support commercialization of its MIGS glaucoma implant and R&D of its retinal brain-computer interface platform for visual function reconstruction.

Aptatek Biosciences closes initial financing to advance PheCheck
Aptatek Biosciences has completed the initial close of a financing round led by Canterbury Scientific and Longview Innovation, with terms undisclosed. The funding will support the clinical evaluation and continued development of PheCheck™, its FDA Breakthrough-designated home monitoring system for phenylalanine in people living with PKU, ahead of a planned FDA submission.
