ABM Respiratory Care secures $20M Growth capital from Trinity Capital

Latest Medtech News

Trinity Capital, an alternative asset manager, has committed $20 million in growth capital to ABM Respiratory Care (ABMRC), an Eagan, Minnesota-based company developing airway clearance and ventilation solutions. The financing will support commercial expansion, a stronger global market presence, product innovation, clinical research, and connected respiratory care technologies. The release does not specify the structure of the capital.

ABMRC’s BiWaze platform includes two FDA-cleared systems used in hospital and home care. BiWaze Clear delivers oscillating lung expansion therapy to help mobilize secretions in the lower airways, and BiWaze Cough provides mechanical insufflation-exsufflation for patients with an ineffective cough. The company also develops Arc Connect, a digital platform that gives care teams visibility into therapy use and supports patient engagement.

For ABMRC, the commitment follows a $14.8 million Series B closed in June 2025, adding capital as the company works to expand in existing and new markets. CEO Greg Miller said the financing provides “capital and operating flexibility” for its growth initiatives. Trinity’s Rob Lake said clearing the lungs “takes real effort and the right technology.”

For the broader MedTech space, the deal reflects growth-capital providers continuing to back commercial-stage respiratory device companies, a segment where the move of therapy from hospital to home is driving demand for connected devices.
