Epitel has secured $26 million in a Series B financing round to accelerate the commercial expansion of its REMI® Remote EEG Monitoring System, a fully wireless, FDA-cleared platform that combines long-term EEG monitoring with AI-driven seizure event detection.
Co-led by Catalyst Health Ventures and Genoa Ventures, the funding will support growth of the company's commercial infrastructure, expand provider adoption, and improve access to remote neurological monitoring. The REMI system enables patients to undergo EEG monitoring at home for several weeks, helping clinicians capture and identify seizures that may be missed with traditional short-duration EEG testing.
“Millions of Americans with suspected seizures still face significant barriers to diagnosis because access to EEG remains limited,” said Steve Pacelli, President and CEO of Epitel. “We built the REMI System to help close that gap by bringing longer-term neurological monitoring closer to patients and helping clinicians efficiently review the data needed to make a diagnosis.”
