Dopl Technologies has raised $6.3 million in seed funding to accelerate development of its remote robotic ultrasound platform designed to expand access to diagnostic imaging.

The Washington-based startup is developing a telerobotic system that enables sonographers to perform ultrasound exams remotely using robotic hardware, secure connectivity and workflow management tools. The funding will support product validation, FDA 510(k) submission, clinical evaluation and initial commercialization.

Dopl plans to submit its system for FDA review in 2027, with the goal of helping patients in underserved areas access specialty imaging without travelling long distances.

“Our outstanding team is energized and now capitalized to move quickly through the regulatory process to deliver reliable, remote robotic ultrasound to patients who today must often travel hours to receive essential care,” said Ryan James, CEO and co-founder of Dopl Technologies.
