Vision RT is the inventor of Surface Guided Radiation Therapy and is headquartered in London, UK, with offices in the US, Warsaw, Delhi, Dubai, and Melbourne. Founded in 2001, the company's technology is now established as the standard of care in surface-guided radiotherapy, with more than 3,000 installations in active clinical use globally. As demand for its technology scaled rapidly across global cancer centers, VisionRT needed to build entire commercial functions from scratch and transition from an indirect to a direct commercial model. That transition required hiring across 18 countries with speed, accuracy, and a deep understanding of how the business needed to grow. Guided Solutions has been VisionRT's organisational design and talent partner since 2015.

Challenge

Scaling a MedTech business from a strong product foundation into a fully functioning global commercial organisation is one of the most operationally demanding transitions a company can make. The challenge is not just hiring more people. It is building functions that do not yet exist, in markets where the company has limited presence, while maintaining the quality and cultural coherence that made the product successful in the first place. For VisionRT, this meant building an entire marketing function from zero, hiring commercial leadership across 18 countries, and doing all of it from a single UK headquarters while transitioning from an indirect to a direct sales model. Every hire had to be right. A wrong appointment in a new market does not just fail. It slows expansion, damages relationships, and costs significantly more to unwind than it did to make.

Solution

Guided Solutions became VisionRT's organisational design and search partner from 2015, completing 159 placements across 18 countries over the course of the relationship. Rather than responding reactively to individual briefs, the partnership was structured around understanding how VisionRT needed to grow and building the talent infrastructure to support that systematically. For MedTech companies scaling internationally, the difference between a transactional recruiter and an organisational design partner is the difference between filling roles and building a business. A transactional recruiter responds to a brief. An organisational design partner helps you work out what the brief should be, which roles to prioritise, what profile will succeed in each market, and how each hire connects to the next.

Result

Since 2015, Guided Solutions has completed 159 placements across 18 countries for VisionRT. The marketing function was built from zero to 11 people. Across the same period, the business achieved 900% revenue growth. For MedTech founders and commercial leaders evaluating how to structure talent acquisition as they scale, the VisionRT partnership illustrates what becomes possible when search is treated as a strategic function rather than an operational one. The 900% revenue growth did not happen despite the hiring process. It happened in part because of it. Getting the right people into the right roles, in the right sequence, across 18 countries, is not something that happens by accident. It requires a partner with the institutional knowledge, the global network, and the organisational design capability to make it repeatable.

"When we started working with Guided Solutions, we needed leaders who understood both the clinical stakes and the commercial pressure of scaling a MedTech business fast. They didn't just bring us candidates. They brought us people who had already navigated the exact stage we were in."
