Commercial Manager

Our client is a UK manufacturer, distributing Healthcare solutions globally across a wide spectrum of areas within healthcare, with a significant history. The company is now enhancing their whole commercial strategy to increase its market share. We have been tasked to recruit and hire an experienced Commercial Manager.
To work with the Commercial Director/Regional and Business Manager and colleagues to manage all pricing and contract activity within your specific region. To create and submit tenders and pricing proposal designed to meet sales targets, increase growth and market share across all product segments. To work with the Commercial Director to formulate and adapt the commercial strategy of the UK to meet to changing demands of the UK market.
Key Responsibilities
- To work with colleagues to hit sales targets for the specific region of area of responsibility.
- Responsible for delivering commercial strategy, including: Incentivizing growth and delivering sales and market share growth across all segments and Negotiating forward purchases
- Build strategically important relationships with NHS Trust, Procurement and key stakeholders, Hub Commercial Managers: Procurement Managers, Finance Directors and CEO’s and leverage these relationships to deliver sales and market share growth.
- To discuss the value based proposition including key unique programs.
- Responsible for ensuring efficient use throughout the Region
- Investigate commercial opportunities within the commissioning sector: public and private
- Accountable to complete all aspects of tender responses
- Responsible for the ongoing management and reviews of existing contracts including compliance to agreed terms
- Responsible for leading the negotiation in commercial discussions between the company and its customers
- Accountable for maintaining/ increasing ASP across the region
- Drive large volume, market share gains through commercial contacts in parallel to clinical sales approach
- To work with purpose under pressure to meet deadlines including tender submissions, presentations and negotiation of high value contracts.
Experience and Competencies:
- Medical sales experience with knowledge and experience of NHS buying processes such as tenders etc. and experience with dealing with buyers and procurement staff.
- Experience of presenting to varied audiences and handling objections.
- A business or relevant degree or other business related educational qualification.
- Experience of negotiating for high value complex contracts.
- A understanding of profit and loss and factors that have an impact of its performance.
- Able to work with colleague from all departments. Understand the impact of decisions on all segments of the business.
- Able to engage and present to a variety of audiences including Procurement Managers and Directors, Financial Directors, Theatre Managers, Surgeons and Chief Executives.
- Think strategically and understand the impact of any decision for the customer and the business.
- Must have strong attention to detail and be able to analyse data and use the information to construct offer that demonstrate commercial value to the customer and deliver sales and market share growth to the company.
