Our client is a leading medical devices company which delivers game-changing products for the healthcare market. The company is expanding and looking to hire senior sales professional for the position of Global Sales Director – SAAS.

The position:

The Global Sales Director – SAAS is managing the sales team and all channel partner relationships, in order to meet or exceed sales revenues, sales profitability and budgetary objectives. We are looking for hands-on sales professional with experience with strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging technology and improving processes. The Global Sales Director continually improves the effectiveness of the sales organization and enhances productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The position can be based in France, Belgium, UK, Germany or Netherlands. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and COO in setting and driving the organizational vision and commercial strategy as per geographical differences and customer segmentation
  • Translate commercial strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth; develop and monitor relevant metrics, analyse current sales strategy and suggest solutions for improvement
  • Develop partnerships with channel partners, including joint strategies and ongoing performance measurement
  • Meet business objectives by creating and executing the sales department go-to-market and operational strategies
  • Develop sales strategy for the market and manage sales budget
  • Determine and monitor the KPIs and responsible for hiring, supervising and developing  sales personnel
  • Develop sales proposals and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Responsible for the US sales training program so sales employees are equipped with the product, system and selling-skills training that they require to be successful
  • Partner with marketing to develop lead generation and revenue generation programs
  • Prepare and present management reports on a regular basis
  • Attend tradeshows and exhibitions (if and when possible)
  • Develops, documents and enforces sales policies, standard operating procedures and best practices

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, MBA would be a plus
  • Solid experience in a sales leadership role – strategy, direct and indirect sales, etc.
  • Experience with the scale-up environment and/or sales of innovative (software) technology
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
