Strategic Marketing Director
£120k; Target earnings up to £250k + Package

Our client is a leading global manufacturing company of medical devices supplying the industry with leading-edge technology in designing leading electro-mechanical diagnostic products. The company has a global leading brand in the industry and is part of a bigger global group of companies.
The company is looking to appoint a Strategic Marketing Director as part of the leadership team of the company. The position is both strategic and hands-on and the Strategic Marketing Director will be required to build relationships across the organisation, with channel partners, Key Opinion Leaders, OEM customers, and end-users. Strategic Marketing Director leads a growing team of product managers and marketing communication professionals to manage the complete product lifecycle/roadmap and maximise the company’s global market potential. Strategic Marketing Director is involved with all strategic aspects of the business and in particular work closely with our internal NPD team and external partners to execute of new product/product re-fresh projects.
This is a Board level role reporting to the Managing Director.
The position is based in the HQ of the company near London and does not require full-time office presence.
We are looking for an upstream marketing professional with solid experience with Portfolio and product management.
Responsibilities:
- Creation and communication of the marketing business strategy with strong focus on product and new product development
- Working in partnership with global sales functional leaders for creating a customer-centric regional marketing plan
- Creation and Execution of go-to-market plans for new and updated products
- Improving customer and market education
- Lead, coach and develop your team to achieve high performance and enable talent development
- Complete product life cycle management of existing and new products (roadmaps, rationalisation, launches, etc.)
- Improving the new product development process
- Digital transformation of the product range to enable competitive advantage
Requirements:
- Higher University degree, MBA is preferred
- Outstanding proven track record of delivering results within the global product management and marketing functional area
- Experience with complex medical devices
- Experience in managing dynamic, fast-moving business environments
- Management experience and developing teams
- Strategic thinking, strong leadership and high intellect
