Global Product Manager – Diagnostics

Our client is an innovative global player and thought leader with Diagnostics solutions for Infectious Diseases. In order to spearhead the next major phase of company growth and meet strategic objectives across the world, we have been tasked with identifying a talented and experienced Global Product Manager to be based remotely. This is a newly-created headcount hire.
The company has over 20 years of accelerated growth and commercial excellence, and also an outstanding R&D, Scientific and Product Development technical capability. There is an exciting product pipeline funnel that you will be part of successfully bringing to the world.
To apply for this position it is essential that you have extensive experience and a career of 5-to-15 years within global Marketing and Product Management within the IVD domain. You will have demonstrated success across the full product lifecycle, working with R&D and product development, creating and implementing product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies, product management of product launches and commercialization, and post-market activities supporting global and regional sales teams. The goal of the position is to build bridges with all connected departments of the company through the product lifecycle and advocate for the customer in all aspects of strategy and execution.
Our client seeks to hire significant experience at a senior professional level and therefore we are able to offer a salary of over 100k depending on the strength of the application.
Key Responsibilities of the position will include:
- Take ownership of the full life-cycle global product management activities of high growth products within the product line that provides high clinical value
- Support pre-launch activities, providing critical training and support to end-users and initial company partners as needed
- Represent the voice of the customer on cross-functional teams to prioritize and validate customer needs and guide trade-offs and product feature decisions, clinical education materials and tactics
- Take responsibility for Product life cycle management strategy, including identification of areas for incremental and foundation features and benefits.
- Key Relationship development with early adopters, principal investigators, and additional thought leaders to provide key input to clinical programs, publications, etc.
In order to be considered for this position candidates must closely match the following reference profile:
- Proven and significant experience in product management roles of at least 5 years within medical devices, diagnostics, or the healthcare business ideally in IVD.
- Upstream marketing experience working closely with R&D and NPD.
- Demonstrated success in developing go-to-market strategies plus experience in business case development driven by market and customer analysis
- Experience in product development & product line management of instruments and software
- Education to Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level in a life sciences discipline.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with an analytical and strategic oriented mindset
- Drive to work autonomously and willing to travel extensively
