Our client is a global Diagnostics company, headquartered in the UK. As the business continues to experience and seek further growth we have been tasked with identifying and recruiting a Field Service Manager.

The Field Service Manager will work closely with the Director of Technical Service and create a centralised hub. This is an opportunity to develop systems/processes/procedures from an almost blank canvass to create a high-quality service offering for customers.

The ideal candidate should be a highly skilled Service professional with experience in Medical Devices / Med Tech. This role will be based partly on global HQ (Oxfordshire) and partly on home office. The global HQ and global manufacturing are newly-built and impressive.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with multiple departments within the organisation to develop and maintain formal processes
  • Analyse system data and statistics to identify opportunities, develop action plans, and implement process improvements
  • Perform administrative duties related to practical activities, completing service and quality reports on an ongoing basis
  • Act as the super-user and subject matter expert for the Service Management System and identify risks and issues in business processes and systems
  • Provide reports to the Global Director of Service
  • Contribute to planning and decision-making so that the engineering strategy and performance are aligned

 

Key skills and experience required:

  • Working experience with ERP and CRM is essential for the position
  • Experience of the frameworks, administrative, processes or procedures would be considered as a strong advantage
  • Previous experience as Technical support or similar within the Medical Devices industry, ideally within the capital equipment field
  • Experience in creating and delivering training, procedures and educational presentations for internal training needs
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
