Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer of innovative, high quality medical devices with wide application in clinical practice. Continued growth and global expansion of our client's business have necessitated the need for Chief Commercial Officer to define and deliver a successful strategy for maximising sales and profitability with OEM customers and distributor networks in both existing and new international markets.

Key responsibilities of the role will involve: 

  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets on a global scale
  • Ensure the successful execution of the company's business development strategy at the product and market level
  • Spearhead business expansion into new markets as well as among the existing export distributors and OEM client base
  • Identify, through customer- and market-driven insight,  and launch new product development projects to increase market penetration into new territories and customer groups
  • Define and implement an output-focussed, KPI-driven management framework


To be considered for this role candidates should closely match the following reference profile:

  • Proven track record of successful B2B international business development
  • Keen understanding of market trends, regulatory climate, competitors and the current challenges faced by the global medical device industry
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and organisational skills with staff and customer as well as with new business partners and board-level executives
  • Ability to develop and empower teams and individuals so that they reach their full potential
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset
